Butterfly in the sun

Butterflies with their flightiness and gorgeous colors are our favorite insects. They are the stars of the insect kingdom. This butterfly is in the Nymphalidae family. I caught this butterfly at Kuraki Koen for my sister. We put in her bug cage but decided to let it go so it could have more babies. When it got out it flew onto the bench beside us and sat in the sun and was still there when we left to go home.

You can see the underside of this butterfly … my sister learnt how to catch a butterfly without hurting it.

This is probably the Brenthis ino. See this link

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Brenthis ino. It has close matches with the butterflies photographed at this site.
