150 species of Viburnum can be found now from North America, Europe to North Africa but they were originally from Eurasia, mostly native to Korea, China and Japan. The snowball kind like the one in the picture is either the Viburnum carlcephalum (native Tsushima Island and Korea) or more likely the Chinese Snowball Tree Viburnum macrocephalum, there is also lovely lacy kind called Viburnum japonicum that is commonly seen in parks around here. The leaves are slenderer compared to European and American kinds.
