Mexican Bush Sage (Salvia leucantha) is an increasingly popular variety for accent and contrast, because of its showy blooms. The blooms make good cut or dried flowers. Deadheading (removing spent flowers) will promote more flowering from your Mexican Sage and help keep the plant upright.

Sage repels cabbage loopers, maggots and cabbage butterflies and is a good companion plant for brassicas, carrots, marjoram, strawberries and tomatoes.
