The Anemone Hupehensis var. Japonica (also known as Japanese Anemone) is a traditional fall favorite. The assymetrical petals (two opposite petals that are smaller than the rest) are very odd. There is also a white version.
The plants once established pop up all over the garden with its extensive root system.
