Persimmons can’t be missed … they’re everywhere. The striking splash of gold, and the crumby rotting unplucked fruit underfoot. Amagaki are sweet and are eaten raw. Shibu-gaki cannot be eaten raw and are strung up along a long string and hung from the eaves.
