Plant paradise: Buddha’s Cushion (hotoke-no-za)

This plant is the hotoke-no-za (or Buddha’s cushion) or Henbit dead nettle. The leaves below the flower look like a seat, hence the name Buddha’s cushion. They can be found everywhere growing in cracks or wayside wastelands.
