Biorettokuresu or Violet Cress (Ionopsidium) or alternatively, (Jonopsidium acaule). These are grown in the school’s veggie plot.  They are early-flowering species of violet cress in Brassiaceae (mustard) family and produce flowers singly in the axils of rosette leaves
