Japanese Clematis
The climbing clematis in the photo above, that was growing wild in a carpark, is one of the most prized of the gardening clematises, called the Japanese clematis or Sweet Autumn Clematis. It is easy to spot in season sprawling over river or rocky banks in the Japanese countryside.
