Agrostemma githago is a native of Eurasia, Europe, also found in Canada and the US but is now considered a worldwide weed and pest in some countries. We love agrostemma though and have the white ones which we think of as giant-sized “Baby’s Breath” flowers. I forgot to take photos of the white ones when they were in bloom.

Agrostemma is a genus in the Caryophyllaceae family. Its most known member is Agrostemma githago or common name Corncockle.
